Selo
A secure data room for the impact sector.
Learn MoreWhat Selo is
Selo takes its name from the Portuguese for a wax seal: the mark of something secure, trusted and in the right hands. It is a secure document sharing tool built for impact organisations.
Commercial data rooms are priced and built for corporate M&A. Generic sharing tools host your data on infrastructure you cannot control, in jurisdictions that may not align with your organisation's obligations. The impact sector has been underserved by both.
What it does
Selo gives each recipient a unique access code. Documents are tiered: open, gated, and agreement-gated for the most sensitive materials. Every view is watermarked with the recipient's identity. Operators see who opened which document and when. Codes can be revoked instantly. Nothing is stored as a public URL.
Who it's for
Impact businesses, NGOs, social enterprises and the consultancies that serve them. Organisations sharing sensitive materials with a named set of counterparties in donor diligence, large grant applications, major-project fundraising or institutional partnership processes.
How it's held
Selo is self-hostable and can be deployed in the jurisdiction of your choice. It runs on the same sovereignty-first principles as Kora and Suara: your data, your infrastructure, your control. Built by OpenImpact Studio and open to other impact-aligned organisations.
