What Kora is

Billions of people across the Asia-Pacific and beyond depend on animals for food, income and survival. The tools to help them manage those animals, and to help their governments track disease, prevent outbreaks and protect livelihoods, largely do not exist.

Where Kora is not yet deployed, the alternative is paper records, or nothing. Kora closes that gap.

What it does

Kora brings disease surveillance, biosecurity, antimicrobial resistance monitoring, traceability and a Knowledge Hub into one platform. It works for a smallholder community animal health worker and a national regulator in the same system: each seeing the tools appropriate to their role, all working from the same trusted data.

Any animal, any operational context: livestock, conservation, wildlife, aquaculture, apiary and more. The platform scales to the user's role, from a community health worker's phone to a national regulator's dashboard.

One Health

Kora is One Health-aligned by design. Livestock and wildlife are tracked in the same system, because the interface between them is where the greatest risks emerge. Disease that starts in animals affects people and ecosystems. Kora makes that connection visible and actionable.

Knowledge Hub

Kora includes a Knowledge Hub: disease guides, meat inspection training and practical reference material, available in multiple languages. Designed for field workers and community animal health workers who need clear answers on the spot.

How it's built

Kora works offline, in the local language, on the phone a field worker already has. Data stays in the jurisdiction of the government or organisation that owns it. Each deployment is permanent infrastructure that cannot be revoked or switched off.
