What Bukti is

Bukti is the Indonesian and Malay word for evidence: proof that something happened, not just a claim that it did. It is a self-hosted monitoring, evaluation and learning platform, built by OpenImpact Studio for programmes that report to funders without handing their data to someone else's cloud.

Most programmes hold a theory of change in one document and a logframe in another, built at different times by different people, and the two drift apart within a year. Bukti treats them as the same results graph, rendered as a causal map and a table, so they cannot fall out of sync with each other.

What it does

A programme adopts an indicator from the SDGs, IRIS+, the OECD-DAC criteria, the Washington Group Short Set or the Core Humanitarian Standard, or defines one that is entirely its own. Either way the indicator stays the programme's, with the framework mapping carried alongside it, so a funder reads the results in their own language without a rewrite.

Sex, disability and age band are dimensions in the data model, not a column bolted on at report time. A measurement that falls short of its target opens a prompt to record what happened, rather than sitting quietly under a green dashboard: in the shipped demo programme, one indicator sits at 78 percent against an 80 percent target, and the finding recorded against it reads as plainly as any other result in the report. Evidence for a measurement, a file, a URL or a Kobo submission reference, sits behind the number on demand.

Who it's for

NGOs, social enterprises and government agencies running funded programmes that need funder-ready reporting without a subscription to software hosted offshore, holding data outside the programme's own control. A field team records measurements against a results framework it owns, and a programme lead produces a report in one sitting: a print-ready PDF for the narrative, or a formatted Excel workbook, both generated straight from the records already in the system.

How it's held

Bukti runs as one ASP.NET Core binary and one SQLite file, on a server the programme controls. It follows the same sovereignty-first principles as Kora, Suara, Selo and Aprende: your data, your infrastructure, your control. Audit records track what changed on the data, never who read a report, and retention runs on a schedule the programme sets. No telemetry package, no analytics SDK, no external API calls at runtime.

Built by OpenImpact Studio as tenant zero: the studio runs its own programme reporting on Bukti before offering it to anyone else.
